Intermeccanica International Inc. is looking for a regular full-time Automotive Body Assembly & Upholstery Technician that is ready to learn and apply a range of skills required to assemble the unique custom automobiles we manufacture. This role will be located at unit #39 Braid Street, New Westminster V3L 3P2. Training will be provided by our lead assembly technician with 20+ years of experience. Duties & Responsibilities: Automobile body panel installation including hardware and fitting Automotive upholstery material preparations and installation Automotive moldings and trim (interior and exterior) preparations and installation Fitting of doors, hood and trunk including all locks and mechanisms Lay out and cutting of upholstery materials as well as fitting and installation of them Fitting of major systems like windshield frames and convertible top frames Preparation and installation of exterior and interior trim parts and electrical components Fitting and installation of convertible tops and headliners Other duties as may be required by your manager. Requirements 1-2 years of trade skills education related to autobody preparation is considered an asset. upholstery experience is considered an asset. ITA certification is considered an asset. Team player comfortable consistently working with multiple teams. Ability to communicate – builds effective relationships across departments. Initiative to improve assembly and autobody assembly processes. Abides by Health & Safety standards and emphasizes their importance to team members. Legally able to work in Canada. Occasional Heavy Lifting Up to 50 pounds. Working with light machinery and knowledge of using appropriate power tools. Working in an automotive production environment.
