At Fraser Health, we’re looking to bring on board a Director, Financial Planning & Business Support to empower and enhance the work of leaders within our business. In this role, you will collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and own Fraser Health’s multi-year corporate operational and business planning processes. A big part of this entails economic forecasting, and annual operating budget preparation. This role also includes reporting Fraser Health’s financial position to the Senior Executive, Board of Directors and Ministry of Health. In these reports and presentations, you will integrate the major elements of the multi-year financial plan such as the operating statement, capital investments, workload and performance measurements. Apply your experience in financial planning & business support as you: * Direct a team in developing the organization’s annual and rolling three year operating, capital and service workload budgets; * Proactively review and evaluate financial performance against the assigned budget and provide resource recommendations to the senior management group, employing the latest techniques and technology to serve customers effectively; * Lead the development of mission, strategies and goals of the department to ensure the optimum delivery of business services and financial resources for designated Fraser Health operational areas; * Employing a demonstrated track record for innovation, actively engage customers to thoroughly understand their evolving needs and partner with them to find ongoing efficient business solutions. As the successful candidate, you have an accounting designation such as a CA, CMA, CGA or CPA, and demonstrated hands-on experience with financial planning and analysis. Recent experience leading and mentoring teams for seven (7) to ten (10) years’ is critical for this role, including five (5) years’ experience in a senior leadership role within a large sophisticated organization. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is also acceptable. Recent and strong healthcare experience supporting direct clinical care portfolios will be an asset. This is a regular full-time position located at Central City office in Surrey, BC , convenient to rapid transit options.
