Our Vancouver based sales and marketing office proudly promotes river and ocean tours to travel agents and clients across Canada. Our Opportunity:The Groups Specialist role requires the incumbent to work closely with and report to the General Manager (GM) of Sales. This position will play a key role in the sales success of Scenic and our Trade Partners. The main objective is to book and manage the Groups enquiries for Canada Sales, to achieve and maximize group sales assist of Scenic and Emerald Cruises products, while providing a 5 star customer service to both external and internal customers. This role will be responsible for:Maintain and improve administrative function within the Groups Department in order to increase efficienciesContinual focus on customer service and deliveryProvide accurate quotes and costsTo prioritize work and meet deadlines for assigned tasks.Responding to BDM and customer needs in a timely and efficient mannerDeliver sales reports as requiredBe knowledgeable on group policies and benefitsUnderstanding and compliance with all Scenic & Emerald Cruises products and policiesComply with continuous trainingEnsure all necessary people are kept up to date with any relevant changes on group accountsTo grow our trade partner’s business and help them achieve their goalsManage web, phone, email requests from customers, in relation to all group enquiries and bookings of Scenic, and Emerald CruisesAssist sales team in creating and providing quotations and booking advices accurately and in a timely manner Accurately identify and deliver customer requirements Liaise with Marketing Department and request and confirm marketing materials (flyers) for Groups Ensure validity and accuracy of all Group sales promotions, pricing and terms and conditions Create template and general procedure documents for Groups Department to aide in process efficiencies Accurately document all discussions with customers to ensure a complete booking history for future references Complete price adjustments for bookings as confirmed by Group SpecialistsOther administrative tasks as assigned given operational requirements Our Needs:Previous travel industry experience and working with the agency community is preferred;Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;Sales mentality;Strong phone presence;Strong numerical abilityExcellent planning skills;Organized, with excellent attention to detail;Adept with use of MS Office package especially Excel;Excellent communication skills both written and oral;Outstanding customer service skills;Exceptional organizing and planning skills are critical for role;Attention to detail and the ability to produce work of a consistent high quality;Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spiritTeam playerAbility to be flexibleOutgoing, positive, and friendly natureProblem solving skills Join Scenic & Emerald Cruises!With offices located in downtown Vancouver within easy access to transit, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits program including a health and wellness account, four weeks’ vacation, ten sick days, earned employee travel days and complimentary gym access.
