Job Description:Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia are currently searching for a Human Resources Co-op to join our team in Burnaby. Reporting to the Associate Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Co-op is responsible forproviding administrative support to a variety of human resources staff and volunteer programs. The rolesupports the core day-to-day operations as you liaise extensively with our HR Generalist and HRCoordinator. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As a Human Resources Co-op, you will be expected to:Assist in the coordination of our onboarding process for new staff members;Administer the Volunteer Management Program, which includes recruitment and volunteer guideline administration;Assist in our ergonomic initiatives, which include coordinating ergonomic sessions, updating appropriate records, and purchase ergonomic-related items for the staff.Support the social committee and Human Resources department for various staff events and team-building activities throughout the yearMaintain and update employee and job description records and files;Create and update entries into our time-off management system;Track and submit HR-related invoices for approval to the Associate Director, Human Resources;Other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLEThe successful candidate will meet the following requirements: Be enrolled in a 3rd or 4th year Human Resources Management undergraduate program or have graduated with a Human Resources Management diploma or degree; Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), preferably in an office environment;Strong organization, coordination and time management skills combined with a high level of attention to detail;Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.The ability to work independently and within a team;Possess a strong can-do attitude and hands-on approach to deliver superior results;Preferred skills:Experience in event coordination or managementExperience in an office environment related to Human Resources administrative tasks and responsibilities.
