Job Description:Job Description: Role: IT Security System Consultant Work Assignment Overview The consultant is to support the operations and enhancements of two enterprise workflow management systems for NERC CIP standards and are built on Microsoft Windows web technology (IIS, SQL) Estimated Work Start Date15-Mar-2021 Estimated Work End Date15-Mar-2022 Work Assignment Requirements: The Consultant will be part of an application tie 3 support team that supports the internal configuration of the application layer and will work in collaboration with other teams responsible for infrastructure, DB, network. Our client is seeking a hands-on analyst with experience in managing Enterprise-grade applications who, besides the technical work, can contribute to establishing operational best practices. The applications are supported during normal business hours; however production deployments or urgent issues may occasionally require work in evenings and weekends. IT Security System Consultant Objectives Our client is seeking up to one (1) Consultant to provide System Analyst services for the day-to-day support and operations of two workflow management systems. The applications are used by several business units to complete processes in compliance to mandatory NERC CIP Standards (security related requirements) and are built on standard Microsoft Windows web technology (IIS, SQL). The Consultant will be part of an application tie 3 support team that supports the internal configuration of the application layer and will work in collaboration with other teams responsible for infrastructure, DB, network. Our client is seeking a hands-on analyst with experience in managing Enterprise-grade applications who, besides the technical work, can contribute to establishing operational best practices. The applications are supported during normal business hours; however production deployments or urgent issues may occasionally require work in evenings and weekends. Scope of Work/Deliverables: The scope of work consists of the following: • Application Support o Handle Incident, Problem and Change management processes for the application layer o Provide 3rd line support to users o Collaborate with other support teams to effectively resolve all issues in a timely manner o Troubleshoot issues with the Vendors as required o Monitor execution of scheduled/batch jobs and resolve related issues o Investigate and fix data-related issues o Identify root cause of repeat incidents and address the underlying Problems o Implement configuration changes in accordance to the established Change Management process • System Administration o Act as the system administrator of the applications o Implement configuration changes within the applications such as: ? Workflows and screens modification ? Configure reports ? Configure scheduled jobs ? Update system configuration o Work with the Business Analyst and Vendor to determine the most efficient way of implementing requirements o Work with the Business Analyst to test changes as required o Work with the Vendor and other support teams to deploy application updates to the environments in support o Create and update system documentation such as low level design and administration guides o Support users with data manipulation, import/export and bulk updates Key deliverables: • Resolution of incidents and requests • System configuration changes/development • Data management and reports • System documentations • Note: additional deliverables may be required Contract Term/Work Location: Work will primarily be performed at at office locations within the Lower Mainland under normal situation, however, will be working remotely under the current COVID-19 situation. Our client anticipates the need for these resources on a full time continuous basis on site from 1 year. The initial contract will be for a 1 year term until June 30, 2021, with options to extend for one additional year, taken at sole discretion Our client will provide a workspace. Consultant expected to provide their own laptop computer and mobile communication devices. Minimum Requirements: • Direct and relevant experience and qualifications to the scope of work stated within this RFQ document • Ability to perform the work within the timeframes stipulated • A minimum of 5 years of System Analysis or Application 3rd level Support Operations on Enterprise systems • Experience in workflow design and configuration under packaged application • Experience in developing and configuring reports using SQL • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based web applications with typical architecture (web interface, server, IIS, DB) • Advanced analysis and troubleshooting skills at application and data layers • Experience in unit and functional testing • Strong data analysis and manipulation skills in MS Excel (filtering, lookups, pivot tables and similar) • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with end users, vendors and cross functional teams • Good oral and written communication skills • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision Assets: • Experience in managing Microsoft IIS • Experience in Windows Server Administration • Knowledge of NERC CIP Standards Typical Background and Experience: • Application 3rd level support/developer, DBA, operations or systems administration Job ID: 47597 Job ID: 24741384
