West Coast Home & Truss ltd has been in business for over 30 years, supplying engineered roof truss systems throughout the Lower Mainland and Thompson Okanagan. We have recently expanded our operations to include floor systems and lumber packages, to provide our construction partners with a one-stop-shop for their framing needs. Through our in-house engineering firm, GS Dhesi and Associates ltd, we provide structural and geotechnical engineering services.

All employees must be able to safely use and operate various small hand tools such as measuring tapes, banders, pneumatic nailers, etc.
Safely construct floor and roof trusses in accordance with customer expectations and company procedures.
Successfully translate work orders and building instructions into a quality finished product.
Move and stack trusses.
Operate equipment as trained and in accordance to designated safety standards.
Operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care.
Accurately cut angles in wood for trusses.
Hammer gusset/plates onto trusses.
Run trusses into roller machine.
Report any machinery issues to management.
Attend all safety and production trainings.
Able to work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
2+ years’ experience working in industrial production is preferred.
Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime and weekends.
Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals.
Basic math, reading, communication, writing skills and computer skills.
Willingness to always comply with all safety guidelines.
Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching.
Able to operate large industrial machinery.
Able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Able to work 8-hour shifts standing.
Reliable and punctual.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Extended Health Care.
