Job Description:Career Opportunity | Intermediate Environmental Consultant Our Ridgeline Environment division is currently seeking an Intermediate Environmental Consultant based out of our Calgary or Red Deer office locations. A successful candidate will have a diverse skill set and experience with Pre-Construction, Remediation and Reclamation projects. You will work in a team atmosphere to ensure project requirements are completed safely and efficiently. You will provide cost-effective solutions while providing our clients with a high quality of work while maintaining professional ethics. Required Qualifications & Competencies Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Reclamation or similar discipline Professional designation or articling to obtain is considered and asset 2-5 years’ relevant field experience Knowledge of the water act and experience with wetland classification is an asset Understanding of the upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements in AB & SK Experience with reclamation and remediation on private and public lands (Phase I, Phase II, Surface Reclamation, DSA, RCA & AoR) Strong soil characterization and vegetation identification skills Good physical health with willingness to travel and work in the field for extended periods Strong commitment to customer satisfaction Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, exemplary interpersonal skills and is very detail oriented and organized Precise attention to detail and ability to produce professional quality deliverables on time and on budget Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and database entry Valid driver’s license Valid Safety Certificates (preferred but not necessary) AIA and or SIA Member (preferred but not necessary) Preference given to candidates holding valid Pesticide Applicators License What you will be responsible for (May include but not limited to) Execute scopes of work and cost estimates under the supervision of the Project Manager Ensure project requirements are met in a timely and effective manner Supervise small and large-scale reclamation and remediation projects Assist with execution of Phase 2 and Phase 3 site assessments Complete detailed site assessments and groundwater monitoring Coordinate and supervise tree planting Manage and meet all client and regulatory ground disturbance requirements Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, directives and SOP’s Implement internal and client safety programs Remain current with environmental legislation and regulatory updates, provide updated information as it becomes available to staff Ridgeline offers a very attractive compensation package that includes a Competitive Salary and Vacation Accrual which is based on the candidate’s qualifications and years of experience.
