Job Description:The Payroll Administrator is accountable for ensuring the timely and accurate data entry in preparation of employment information and the processing of payroll and benefits. You will review employee payroll data and accurately calculate, analyze, and distribute pay and related benefits. Reporting to Business Direction, CFO, VP of Finance. Other Administrative, HR, Accounting duties as required. The responsibilities of the position include: Create and maintain employee records in payroll and benefit systems • Verify employee time records • Prepare and processes payroll on a bi-weekly basis • Analyze payroll to ensure the accurate calculation of hours, benefits, vacations, and deductions • Monitor and report overtime, sick time, bank time, and statutory holiday and vacation pay • Providing Employee HR support service internally on all payroll and benefits • New Employee Packages, Posting Job Ads, hiring processes, completion of ROE’s, T4’s, Source Deductions, and other accounting duties as required. Maintain payroll procedures manual • Monitor payroll procedures to ensure compliance with corporate policies and government legislation 2-4 years of hands on payroll experience; or Post-secondary Diploma with 1-3 years of hands on payroll experience CPA certification (PCP) is preferred but not required • Experience processing payroll, Excellent communication, organization, time management and customer service skills, Highly analytical and detail oriented The position will pay salary rate based on knowledge and ability.
