Job Description:Reports of the demise of the premise-based PBX phone systems are exaggerated. Yes, VoIP gets all the attention, but there are plenty of businesses still buying phone systems. And, guess what? They don’t install themselves – they need skilled and talented people like you, not just for installation but to ensure their business communication is better then ever. You know the feeling – the first time you hear the dial tone on a new system. When the client says “wow, the new system was installed without a glitch and it was all because of you – thanks!” Telecom Technician Your primary focus will be on the implementation and support of traditional and IP Telephony Solutions. Telephony installations will include solutions from Panasonic, Ericsson-LG, Avaya and Cisco. About you You love working with people, are friendly and generally get along with everyone. You are an experienced PBX technician who can troubleshoot, install, program and pretty much anything else related to a premise-based telephone system. With at least 3 years of experience programming and installing Panasonic phone systems (experience with other PBX systems and VoIP solutions is an asset). You are motivated, looking to expand your knowledge, learn new things and bridge into the VoIP telephony world. You would enjoy working from home, and can manage your own time effectively. NCP etc.) – the company has been partnered with Panasonic for 25+ yearsExperience with other telecom systems is preferred – we also sell and support Avaya IP Office, Cisco and Ericsson-LGExcellent at low-voltage wiring, punching down, toning, etc. – the more low-voltage you know the betterWillingness to learn new skills and technologies, as well as complete technical trainingGenerally handy with tools for installing and mountingComfortable working at heights, if needed Qualifications / RequirementsValid Alberta driver’s license (Drivers abstract required)Own insured vehicle (mileage reimbursed) or alternatively work vehicle providedPanasonic Basic and Advanced Installer certificatesPanasonic Factory Trained, trained on the NS PlatformOther Vendor training certificates or Technology Certificates are a bonus About Us Telemaxx is a 25-year-old technology service company that has recently come under new ownership and fresh direction.
