Redpath Sugar is part of the ASR Group, the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, with an annual production capacity of more than 6 million tons of sugar.

The Redpath Belleville plant is a blending and packaging operation producing a variety of sugar containing products for customers in Canada and the U.S. The plant operates state of the art high speed mixing and packaging systems supported by high level safety, quality and logistics systems.

We are seeking individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing operation and have excellent communication skills, a drive for results and have the energy and vision to recognize and implement improvement opportunities both independently and as part of a team with members of all levels of an organization.

OVERVIEW:

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for operating various types of packaging and mixing equipment.

  • Preparing materials and weighing ingredients for product blending.

  • Operating mixing equipment and ensuring accurate completion of processing steps and quality requirements.

  • Being part of a packaging line team operating packing, labeling, and palletizing equipment.

  • Completing sanitation and good housekeeping activities in the plant.

  • Maintaining all required sampling, documentation, and verification activities for your tasks.

  • You are a team player who is eager to learn and have attention to detail and pride in your work.

  • In addition, you will also be responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in your area and following Good Manufacturing, Quality, and Safety Policies.

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • To be considered for this position, you must be at least 18 years of age and MUST be returning to school in the fall or completing a co-op term. Returning students are required to complete a new application.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or food production environment is also an asset.

    WHAT WE OFFER:

  • The wage for this position is $21.26 / hour.

    This is a seasonal position from approximately May 01, 2024 to August 30, 2024. All applicants must be enrolled and/or returning to a post-secondary institution in September 2024. This seasonal position is also available for students completing co-op terms.
