Job Description:Reporting to the General Manager, the Laboratory Instrumentation Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration and optimization of the Agilent instrumentation fleet in our Edmonton laboratory. The Laboratory Instrumentation Specialist will be responsible for the following:Calibration, installation, and IQ/OQ/PQ on instrumentation in accordance with PM schedulesTroubleshoot and maintain instrumentation including GC, LC, GC-MS, LC-MS and ICP-MSDevelop maintenance programs for all instrumentationDevelop training initiatives for staff to increase knowledge of operation of instrumentationProvide technical and instrument support to operationsAssist in analytical method validation including executing validation studies and writing validation reportsProvide analytical support and backup for routine testingOther duties as assigned Qualification Requirements:Required: BSc or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years’ experience in a laboratory settingExperience in the operation and maintenance of analytical instrumentationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent computer skillsAbility to multi-taskGood attention to detailAble to work in a fast-based environment to meet deadlinesWork independently and as part of a team Company Description:Labs-Mart Inc. is an independent third-party testing laboratory that provides analytical services to the supplement, food and cannabis industry.
