Millwright in Waterloo, Ontario

Aerotek is currently hiring Millwrights for a frozen food processing facility in Waterloo, ON. They are one of Canada’s largest privately owned, value-added protein providers, and are commitment to supplying high quality products to Canadians. They provide a full line of poultry, beef, and pork items to the restaurant, grocery and hospitality industries.

Responsibilities:

The millwright role is broken into 5 parts:

• Area calls/ breakdowns

• PMs/ Overhauls

• Utilities and cost savings

• Fabrications

• Recording findings/fixes (written and verbal)

The millwrights will be working very closely with production operators, as they will be repairing mostly stainless steel conveyor systems. They will be working on the production lines.

Shifts:

Day Shift – Mon-Fri (6am – 2pm)

Night Shift – Mon-Fri (9pm-6am)

Base Pay Rate: $41.70

Premiums: $1/hr premium for night shift ( $42.70/hr total )

Qualifications:

• 433A millwright license

• 4+ overall years of experience as a millwright in a manufacturing/production setting (preferably with conveyors)

• Experience with call out breakdowns, troubleshooting, electrical, fabrication, TIG welding and PM’s

Environment:

• Refrigerated environment (8 Degrees Celsius)

• Manufacturing works with frozen poultry, beef and pork products

• Own work bench

• Fabrication area

• Fire rooms (20 Degrees Celsius)
