Actual Job Title: Cobol Developer

Your main challenges:
● Provide professional support to sectors and develop or modify computer programs in accordance with user needs and specifications, business imperatives and established deadlines
● Perform reliable and efficient programming while ensuring the performance and quality of the systems structure
● Participated in the different testing phases throughout the development cycle
● Establish validation and quality control procedures, according to established norms and standards of development, and perform comprehensive tests to ensure that the systems developed or modified are adequate
● Analyze change requests in the systems, assess the impacts on existing applications and make the appropriate modifications
● Provided technical support to respond to user requests or in the event of problems affecting existing applications and implemented the necessary fixes

More specifically, you will have to:
● Participated in the various project activities in Agile mode
● Participated in the analysis and realization of requests for changes and estimates of application maintenance requests
● Participated in the resolution of customer and application support requests
● Supported our applications in order to maintain our level of service
● Develop our working methods in order to be more Agile and improve our efficiency
● Comply with development norms and standards and update technical and functional documentation

● Three-year college diploma or academic equivalent, related to the sector of activity, and 5 years of relevant experience in Cobol / DB2 / IMS on the Plant.
● Central knowledge, COBOL, IMS / DB2, Telon, Easytrieve, IBM 390
● Knowledge of the MVS / ESA operating system, Windows
● Knowledge of File-Aid, Xpediter, QMF, Endover, Spufi development tools
● Experience in banking and / or finance desirable
● Collaboration capacity
● Rigor and autonomy
● Teamwork
● Bilingualism (spoken / written) French and English (asset)
