Job Description:HR Generalist Who is our client? Our client is an international transportation and warehousing company expanding its presence in North America. With their complete, value added logistics, innovative technology, reliable team and flexible solutions tailored to the client’s business and budget is how they have been able to stand out in the industry for 18 years. Tasks & Responsibilities:Ensure all HR – Labour regulation and practices are in compliance with the applicable employment regulations.Review and resolve labour relations inquiries and issues.Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and initiatives to support the strategic growth of the business.Manage union inquiries and partake in collective agreement negotiations.Prepare and revise job descriptions, ensuring consistency of content/qualifications and participate in job evaluations as required.Conduct termination and exit interview processes and gather insightful employee feedback to identify any company gaps.Provides operational support and advice on group benefits, pension, and the annual performance review cycle and process.Work with the HR Business Partner and other key stakeholders to build and maintain a company-wide compensation and equity strategy.Support with full-cycle recruitment & staffing needs as required.Manage & maintain the company HRIS system, transactions, and updates.Act as backup to other HR team members during vacations.Ensure inclusion and diversity is promoted and underpins all HR service delivery.Champion and accelerate an excellent company culture with new programs and engagement initiatives.Identifies opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery.Other related HR Generalist tasks as required. Skills & Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HR role.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or other related discipline.Bilingual in both English and French (spoken & written).CHRP Designation (asset).Sound knowledge of federal and provincial employment legislations.Solid understanding of HR best practices, policies, and procedures.Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast paced, results oriented environment.Experience in a unionized environment (asset).
