Responsibilities
From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:

Managing the entire pay process for 3 companies that have a combined total of more than 600 employees;
Coordinate the workload of the payroll team (2 people) and manage the team;
Verify the work produced by the payroll team;
Acting as the resource person for more complex cases;
Participating in payroll processing, time sheet verification, creation of new employees in the system, etc.
Participating in the integration of new employees and ensuring the follow-up of the employee file;
Managing group insurance, RRSPs, and training files;
Managing the entire year-end process;
Answering various questions from employees and the accounting team;
Producing various pay reports for analysis purposes;

Qualifications
Experience and Qualifications:

Diploma of college studies in business or accounting
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in pay administration
Mastery of the complete payroll cycle in Quebec and Ontario, including the year-end process
Knowledge of US payroll;
Strong knowledge of the laws and regulations related to the administration of payroll and employee benefits (e.g. employment insurance, personal income tax, etc.)
Able to maintain confidentiality
Able to work under pressure and deliver on a deadline
Detail oriented, mindful of quality, and able to work well in a team
Mastery of the Windows suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written
Major Assets:

Knowledge of ADP’s Pay@work, People@Work and EzLabor (ADP) payroll systems, Workday
Canadian Payroll Association Certification
