WHO YOU ARE: You are an entrepreneur, with the drive to seek opportunities that will increase theatre revenues and improve the overall Guest experience. Working with the broader management team will come natural to you and overseeing the day to day theatre operations is where you can let your building management skills stand out. You know what it takes to be a budget owner, set targets and achieve results, as it relates to supplies & services, security, cleaning contracts, waste management, utilities, projection supplies, repairs & maintenance. Finding solutions and presenting recommendations to find efficiencies is something that you are comfortable with, and you know how to provide advice in various areas of expertise… and YOU love movies! THE JOB:Collaborate with the Management team to effectively manage operations of the theatre (Including: labour cost, cost of sales, revenue control, speed of service, Guest satisfaction, equipment & procedure training, safety of Guests & Cast, and film & product quality)Manage day-to-day operations of the theatre with a focus on facilities management/supplies, services, repairs, and maintenanceCommunicate on an ongoing basis with the Management team including the General Manager and Operational leaders by attending all scheduled meetings and by use of the communication tools providedGreet and engage Guests and make them feel special – helping to create exceptional experiencesBe available and visible to Cast and Guests; observe and assist with potential issuesProvide consistent performance feedback to all levels of Cast and address performance issues in a timely manner using effective performance management toolsWork safely and ensure all levels of Cast are made aware of and follow safe work practicesOwnership & accountability of budgets, targets, and results THE PERKS:Comprehensive and competitive compensation & benefits packageAnnual bonus system eligibility for full-time managementGrowth opportunities within the theatre and cinema support centresAccess to an Employee Assistance Program to support wellnessCompetitive vacation allotment to promote work-life balanceFree movies and discounted concession snacksREQUIREMENTSMinimum of 3 years experience in a related industry (Guest service/retail environment)Completion of a post-secondary school program with a focus on business acumen, hospitality, entertainment, and food service management is considered to be an assetProven track record in people management and overseeing building facility maintenance programs, with the ability to manage supplies, services, repairs and maintenancePassionate in delivering quality products and services in a Guest-service environment with significant attention-to-detailOwnership and accountability of budgets, targets, and results and are comfortable in providing and presenting recommendations and/or advice in areas of expertiseAbility to set actionable goals, take initiative to deliver, show persistence in problem-solving while keeping others focused on resultsThrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment, and are engaged in finding solutions and efficienciesPrior experience with projection or audio-visual equipment is an assetExcellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office SuiteABOUT THE COMPANY A subsidiary of Kinepolis Group NV, Belgium, Landmark is Canada’s second largest motion picture, theatre exhibition company.
