Job Description:We are looking for a Jr. Construction Coordinator to join our team! Our Client a Major Mining organization is seeking a Jr. to intermediate Construction Coordinator for an 12 months contract assignment in Northern Sask. The ideal candidate will have approx. 3-5 yrs experience Field construction experience, strong computer skills and have either a solid foundation (Educations, Co-op, or other related experience when it comes to Workface support and a background in Civil/Structural, Business Administration or relevant experience Key Responsibilities:Supports the other members of the construction management team (CMT) with the overall objective of safely and efficiently executing construction work.A field-based role with expectation for regular visits to the construction workface to support construction activities.Coordinates activities between the CMT, engineering team, contractor and operations as required to ensure construction work can proceed efficientlySupports members of the CMT and contractor personnel with the use of digital/computer based systems and mobile field deviceSupports the CMT by logging and tracking action items, keeping digital records and general administrative support as requiredSupports the CMT by liaising with engineering personnel to get answers to RFI etc.Conducts a weekly review of construction schedules that are submitted by contractors and coordinate feedback from discipline superintendents within the CMTWorks with the CMT and contractor to validate claimed schedule progress and raise any discrepancies to the Construction Manager for resolutionTracks and in some cases calculate construction productivity Qualifications:Advanced skill and experience in use of computers/digital systems and experience with different software systemsPrior experience using mobile devices including field tabletsPrior experience in use of Microsoft software systems including Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Project and Teams considered an assetPrior experience in construction considered an assetStrong organizational skills requiredEngineering or technologist background and qualification preferred, however, other qualifications will be considered Rotation & Additional Schedule:2 weeks in / 2 weeks out, 11 hours per dayStart Date: Nov 2020Expected term: One yearRoom and board is covered while at site.Transportation is covered from Saskatoon airport to/from site. all other Travel cost are at candidates expense Job ID: 3859172
