Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will fill this full-time position of Building Maintenance Technician for the GTA portfolio of industrial properties.
Job One is: To ensure that the assigned portfolio is being managed and maintained in optimum condition.
This position requires inter-property travel and a significant amount of walking.
This position is for you if you can:
Maintain the cleanliness, safety and appearance of the common areas (ex.: shoveling, salting, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning, litter pick-up, waste removal, vacuuming, painting etc.)
Complete basic repairs (ex.: minor plumbing and electrical repairs and, patching and painting, door and lock repairs, etc.)
Perform HVAC unit maintenance (ex.: filter changes, belt tightening and, general trouble-shooting)
Clean, patch, paint, cut and set ceiling tiles, complete door repairs and lock and handset installation, and anything else necessary as we get vacant units, ready for a new tenant.
Inspect units and common elements and washrooms, hallways and lobbies and ‘take care’ of any issues you note.
Attend property/unit tours with clients and contractors.
Occasionally work after hours and on weekends.
