Key Account Manager – Software Sales (Canada)

Job Description:POSITION SUMMARY The Key Account Sales Manager is responsible for successfully managing the assigned sales Territory (based either Toronto or Montreal in Canada). The representative is expected to close new business by building trusted customer relationships with Data Center Operators. The Key Account Sales Manager position will report to the Regional Sales Director. Core goals will include revenue attainment, accurate qualification / discovery and customer consultation. Candidates are expected to drive DCIM software license, maintenance, and service wins while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Candidate needs to be legal residents in Canada. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Respond to customer inquiries via phone and e-mail, assist potential customers during their evaluation process, create quotes and new customer accounts, co-ordinate with channel partners, and close salesEstablish, develop and grow new business relationships with influential contacts within Key Accounts.Keep Sunbird management informed by maintaining accurate customer and pipeline records within CRM systemSubmit accurate and timely activity reports as requiredConduct product demonstrations via Zoom to potential customer’s audiences that are both technical and non-technicalProvide management with information regarding local market opportunity and identifying new business opportunities and channel partnershipsOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONSAbility to understand an organization’s business drivers, challenges, pain pointsAbility to converse and consult with customers, providing educational value during the processA (minimum 5 year) proven track record of Software sales and/or business process sales preferably within the information technology domainAbility to simplify and prioritize customer requirements and develop sales strategies that clearly define customer goals and metrics for successExcellent listening, written, verbal, and remote presentation skillsOperational excellence in managing a pipeline of opportunities, revenue forecasting and conducting account/forecast reviews with managementKnowledge of Data Centers, and the operational day to day management of themDemonstrable record of sales success against quotaFormal sales training (Challenger, Strategic, SPIN, etc.)Experience with telemarketing, lead generation, or cold callingAble to build meaningful business relationships with Sunbird customers, prospects and internal colleaguesConfident and able to differentiate yourselfPassion for selling (IT industry background preferable)Enthusiastic and self starting approachAbility to use Microsoft Office/Exchange, and CRM systemsBA/BS degree or technological certifications are preferred. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
