Background & Purpose of the Job:

The Labour Scheduler and Operations Support provides day to day administration of payroll processing functions as well as manages weekly production labour schedules ensuring accuracy and compliance. The position will report to Operations Manager and will work closely with HR.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Labour Scheduling and Forecasting:

· Producing weekly labour schedules for the production department as per CBA

· Posting and allotting overtime on a weekly basis and/or as required

· Working closely with production planner to give labour forecast as per changing volume demands

· Managing production schedules in Kronos

· Manage overall production skills matrix & employee cross training

· Collaborate with HR on future recruitment needs

· Manage production supplies inventory and ordering

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

· Bachelor’s degree required and minimum 3 years of related experience in scheduling in a factory

· Experience using Kronos and/or Ultimate Kronos Group Software is preferred.

· Experience working in a unionized environment an asset.

· You will thrive in this position if you are detail oriented and very well organized as well as enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
