The Opportunity: Reporting to the SR Director of Talent Acquisition and working closely with the TA team of 7 and our hiring managers, the successful candidate will be instrumental in helping to build a professional Talent Partner Practice across our Canadian locations and assisting with our US locations as demand dictates. Acting as a true partner, you will be offering guidance and advice to our Leadership Team and support to our colleagues in the area of candidate experience, building a diverse candidate pool, sourcing strategies, designing an efficient and effective process to hire exceptional talent and developing the assessment and selection capability of the hiring team. This role will have purview over our Operations Roles and will also be a resource to assist in other areas as dictated by the demands of the business. What we need you to do: * Own and manage an exceptional hiring process and candidate experience from assisting with headcount planning to following up post onboarding to ensure our process is effective. This is an opportunity to help design, develop and drive the initiatives that will build this company – through our talent. * You naturally build lasting relationships through interpersonal capabilities and advanced communication skills – both written and verbal. You represent your place of employment well and your pride in where you work and add value is visible. * Understand how to engage in effective methods to attract talent, deep and expansive sourcing techniques – well beyond the basics of LinkedIn, Facebook and Glassdoor. * Constantly work to automate the hiring process to ensure it is progressive, frictionless and an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. * Engage our leadership team from the C-Suite through to frontline managers in presenting our brand, our story and the myriad opportunities that lay ahead for BusPatrol and the talent joining the team. * Understand how to build a diverse candidate slate for EVERY hire. Diversity is not a metric we casually monitor; it is the way we do business. * You are very comfortable with numbers and drawing insights from analytics to make our hiring process smarter, more efficient and more effective. * Supporting and guiding on organizational structure through progressive recruiting techniques, understanding the business objectives, advising on candidate sourcing strategies and ultimately on selection. * Assist the People team in building a world class on-boarding program, ensuring that new hires are ramped and ready to execute, equipped with all necessary knowledge, infused with a strong understanding of our values, and motivated to support our mission. * Ensure legal compliance in every location by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource provincial, state and federal requirements, ensuring hiring managers are well informed, maintaining records and ensuring complete compliance to requirements in each jurisdiction. * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional associations. What you bring: * Educational background in business, certified level in Human Resources/Talent Acquisition. Master of Arts/Master of Science in Human Resource Management preferred, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior talent position. * A strong track record of success across a wide variety of roles ranging from Field Operations to technical/analytical positions. Experience and a deep rolodex for hiring technical roles, mechanical roles, Field Service roles, and similar backgrounds. * An engrained commitment to building a diverse organization and educating and promoting best practices to support a diverse colleague community. Every hire will have a diverse candidate pool sourced for consideration. * Strong track record, ideas, leading capability in recruiting, sourcing, technology, systems, and building a recruiting engine. * Exceptional foundation and experience in full cycle recruiting.
