Clinic Receptionist / Manager

Midcity Medical Center is looking for a Medical Office Manager. Candidates must have experience in medical administration, human resources, and information technology. Must have understanding of privacy policies and understanding of Manitoba Health billing would be an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of the clinic
• Recruit, manage, train and coach the new staff members
• Plan, manage the clinic’s budget, approve payroll and oversee staff compensation structure
• Process payments, resolve monetary discrepancies
• Oversee the purchasing, maintenance and repair of clinic equipment
• Order stock and supplies
• Consult with IT, Marketing, Privacy, Security, Clinical, Facilities and other corporate support functions to enhance clinic performance
• Develop and/or localize all internal policies and procedures to reflect jurisdictional and college policies, regulations and laws as they relate to labour and occupational health, privacy, security, confidentiality, and IPAC
• Establish and implement the clinic goals, objectives, policies and procedures for all operational areas of the clinic
• Examine and resolve complaints from staff, patients and physicians
• Act as a liaison between other organizations, agencies and groups as required (WCB, MPI, etc.)

Qualifications:
• 1+ years prior experience working as a clinic manager in a clinical or healthcare setting
• Proficiency in managing budgets, billing, and negotiating with suppliers and vendors
• Must be skilled with computers, able to adapt to new technology, learn new programs quickly
• Must have a positive attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Analytical thinking skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions
• Must be customer service oriented and prepared to defuse and resolve escalated situations
• Must be organized and detail-oriented
