Were you born outside of Canada? Do you provide home care for seniors? We want to talk with you! We are recruiting participants for a university research study on immigrant care workers who provide services for seniors in Manitoba. Conversations will take between 60-90 minutes over the phone or online. For people who are new to Canada and people who are on a temporary visa, we would like to have a conversation about your home care work experience. Please note that your participation will be strictly confidential and you will receive a $40 gift card of your choosing to compensate you. Language interpretation is also available if needed.
These conversations are a part of the Mount Saint Vincent University research project on immigrant home care workers who care for older people. Our goal is to better understand the unique experiences of immigrant workers and the kinds of care they provide for older people during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results will be used to help improve the working conditions of immigrant care workers and the quality of care of their older clients.
