Pipe Layer in Vancouver, British Columbia

Aerotek is hiring multiple Skilled Civil Construction workers such as Pipe Layer, Skilled Labour’s and Operator

Description:

This person will be installing, cut pipes and metal for installation. Connecting pipes and sealing joints, installing sewer/storm pipe systems underground, working around underground utilities. Aligning pipes according to blueprints, checking slopes for grade, reading blueprints, grade and level trenches, cut and bevel pipe, using some machinery such as rollers, dig trenches. They will receive direction from the foreman or site superintendent each morning and will work on a team of 2 – 15 people. They will work alongside equipment operators and skilled labourers.

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years experience as a civil construction experience.

2. Well rounded in testing processes.

3. Knowledge of construction & pipe fitting techniques

4.Experience with machine operated trenching tools

5.Able to set up laser equipment

Work Environment

Large commercial development Construction site – commercial projects, large sites, there will be equipment running at all times, multiple trades on site. Several projects in lower mainland: Currently in Vancouver and Burnaby.

CURRENT PROJECT: Need a pipelayer for the Burnaby project

7 AM – 3 PM, go to 5 for overtime.

Size of site: 2 – 15 staff. Depending on the GC, projects can be busier.
